I can feel the difference in my body when I have a smoothie for breakfast and when I don’t.
When I make a smoothie in the morning, I feel:
- Energized
- Lighter
- In control
- Prepared
- Healthier
When I don’t make a smoothie, I feel…not like I do when I make a smoothie
And I usually eat a healthy breakfast when it’s a non-smoothie day, think eggs and fruit.
Yet still, I feel better when I go the extra effort to blend up a mix of fruit, veggies, and protein.
And for good reason. Consuming foods such as bananas and avocados that have numerous nutrients boost my energy levels to get me ready for work, to teach or a post-yoga flow treat that keeps the good vibes flowing.
As I yoga teacher, one of the things I hear from students is how yoga has changed their diet. As they start to dive into their practice and their physical bodies, they start to notice what foods enrich their yoga practice, and what foods make them feel like they’ll never find upward facing dog (that is foods that make them feel heavy).
Kick-start your day with a healthy morning smoothie with a blast of clean and wholesome foods that will have you feeling energized and strong for yoga, for work and most importantly, your life with my favorite smoothie, the Power-Up Fruit and Veggie smoothie.
I promise you’ll feel like I do in the morning when you do.
