More and more I feel the effects of the foods I eat as I get older. I can instantly notice my energy levels, mental alertness, and overall physical wellbeing when I consume clean and fulfilling foods.
As I yoga teacher, one of the things I hear from students is how yoga has changed their diet. As they start to dive into their practice and their physical bodies, they start to notice what foods enrich their yoga practice, and what foods make them feel like they’ll never press up to upward facing dog.
The protein power smoothie is a go-to for me when I know I need to fill my belly up and be satisfied for multiple hours. And it doesn’t hurt that I know I’m getting a dose of leafy greens and tons of antioxidants to fuel me up.
